Watch the most recent Open House from April 22, 2021. This session offers a chance to learn more about CASA advocacy in preparation for upcoming training cycles. Meet the team, get details on our local program, and hear from a current advocate, Tiffany Remsberg, about what volunteers do to help vulnerable children in the Eastern Panhandle.
CASA-EP programs play a critical role in ensuring that children who have experienced abuse or neglect find safe, permanent placements or are reunified with their biological family whenever possible. The work of highly trained advocates—appointed by judges to work one-on-one with our most vulnerable children and youth—is needed now more than ever. Research has shown children with a CASA volunteer spend less time in out-of-home or foster care, are less likely to re-enter the foster care system, and do better in school. You can #changeachildsstory by becoming a CASA volunteer!
